Talent Friends Church
We are part of a worldwide organization of Evangelical Friends and members of the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends in Newberg, Oregon.
The Friends Church founder, George Fox, faithfully attended the Anglican Church until he was nineteen, but he knew something was missing. He went on a four-year quest to find out what it was. On a hill, he finally found one who could speak to his condition. His name was Jesus Christ.
This message changed his life. It was no longer an impersonal religion, but a personal relationship. He didn't try to start a new church, but he wanted everyone to know of a God who could change their lives and set them free from their guilt and sin.
Because of his testimony, many people gave up their old lifestyles and started meeting together to read the Bible and sit in silence and listen to the Holy Spirit. Those people went out and shared what God was doing in their life. The numbers grew as people found their personal relationship with God.
